Do I have to have a sewing machine?
No. There are classroom machines available for beginner classes. However, I do encourage the purchase of a basic machine so that practice can continue at home.
What do I need to bring to class?
Students are given a supply list upon registration. Supplies are provided for the first beginner lesson.
What's your classroom like?
This is a home-based, woman-owned, small business. Tables, chairs, lighting, outlets, trashcans, and an ironing station are provided for students. Class size is small to provide individual attention and adequate space. There is one small step for entry and two steps for bathroom access. Otherwise, the space is handicap accessible. Safe use of equipment is reviewed by the teacher, and all students are expected to follow safety guidelines. We have FUN! Feel free to make some music requests.
We are also pleased to now offer group classes at Geri’s Place in Jackson, MS. Check social media for class offerings.
Do you do parties?
Yes! Sewing is a fun event for parties, bonding events, or girls’ night. Please contact me to discuss group sewing options. Pricing will depend on class size and selected project.
